“Selena deserves the star,” said Edward James
Olmos (who played Selena's father, Abraham, in her biopic) in an exclusive interview with Variety. “Her music stands the
test of time. She was a brilliant artist. I just wish she were here. It’s not
fair.”
The Grammy Award-winning Mexican-American singer
was 23 years old when she was fatally shot by the president of her fan club in
March 1995.
The ceremony is set for November 3,2017, which will also be named Selena day in Los Angeles.
I am so happy Selena has been her much deserved shine this year- her makeup line with MAC and now the WOF star and "Selena Day". Although she was taken away very soon Selena made her mark on the world and she is still making waves 20 plus years after her passing.
